I have a 2003 Z06 with 18K on the speedometer. If I got the air condition on high in the recirculation mode and shut the drivers door it changes to outside air mode and the fan to low speed. Seems like something is being jarred.
I have the GMPP Major Guard plan in affect and the steering column has been changed out in the past by a previous owner.
Any suggestions on what to do?
Thanks,
Neil in TN

It is going to your preset setting when you shut the door. Change your setting and shut the door and you will notice it will be doing the new setting. 100% normal.

Thanks for the info.....
How do you set your preset for it?
Thanks again,
Neil

Set up everything how you like it (temp controls, radio stations, mirrors, seat position, etc). Then press and hold the 1 or 2 button to set your preferences (the light over the button you pressed will blink momentarily). The 1 & 2 correspond to the 1 or 2 on the back of your key fob. You can also set a preference 3 by holding both 1 AND 2 down at the same time (I have my 3 set to lower both outside mirrors for backing into parking spaces by a curb).
