Side Airbags 2001

Were side airbags an option in 2001 on the convertible?

As you can see theres no side airbags and unless they exist on the new C6 I'm pretty sure no corvettes carry side airbags.

Ryan is correct- there are no C5s with side airbags. Are side airbags an important issue in your car shopping, cadmando? Candidly, I don't know of any sports cars which feature side airbags (unless you count the spouse in the passenger seat. Sorry, that was a shot I couldn't resist.)
