Silly Question of the Day-Hole in Upper Fender

See the pic, white dot from wax. In my former C3 there was a rubber bumper there. What is the purpose of that hole on C2s?

Paul, there was no hole there on production cars for attaching anything; have no idea why someone would have added it.

Over 35 years ago, I drilled a hole to install a hood open car alarm. Very basic junk. ;LOL

In my case, it was on the driver's side and much further back where the underside is accessible from inside the engine compartment.

pretty wild, my roadster has a hole in almost the same spot.......

....maybe that's where they hid the bongs during the 60's:_rock
