Size difference in 75 to 77 hood

Hello, I've got a 1975 Ecklers L88 hood I'd like to put on my 77 but it looks like from the catalog that the hoods are different. Anyone know what's different or what can be done to make it fit?

i don't know of any difference. i put the high rise hood on my '77. it is the Eckler's #10419, the description said it was for '76 and prior, but it fit great. try it out, it should work, Brian

I just put a L88 from ecklers on my 75, they were very specific that the hood I wanted only fit from 73-76yr , but I coulden't say ,would do some searious measuring no fun realinging hindges , dig the L88 look ..................:cool

The reason for the year specific may not be the dimentions of the hood but in the latching assembly. I was reading in another forum about somebody replacing his hood with an aftermarket hood on his '69, and was having troubles, the fix had to do with changing latches.
