Could a few of you folks with C-5s, not 04 model as I have the data on that one, measure the warning label on the sunvisor and let me know if it is the same as my 04's at 1 1/2" high by 5 1/2" wide. I am trying to get a fabricator to do some plaques that will cover the label, and if all C-5s have similar size they might be able to work it for all C5s. They did some great ones for my 300M in brushed aluminum or gold with "CHRYSLER" on them in black lettering. I am shooting for "CORVETTE" for these if it works out. Thanks in advance.

I love what that label says. Place children in the back seat of your Corvette!

I took both of mine off.

how did you remove them.mine seem permanent.

I just slowly worked them. I started on one corner. Once the corner comes up, just go slow. There have been some threads on this site where other people talked about other methods (hair dryer?).

I have an '04 and those stickers are REALLY stuck on and I didn't want to take the chance of ruining the visors. So I painted mine frat black and they blend in to the fabric very well.

I have a 2000 and the labels came off very easly .... I've heard that the 01, 02, 03 and 04 are stuck on very good and will more than likely will need heat from a hair dryer to get them off ... looks 1000% better with the label off ...!!!!! :) :)

Isn't this some sort of federal offense, removing that label? The car equivalent to taking the label off a mattress? :L

Seriously, I haven't bothered to remove mine. I keep the garage door opener clipped to my visor and it covers most of the label. I never notice it, so I've got no complaints about it being there.

It might be a good idea to hang onto them for the day you decide to sell these cars.
I'd make sure to hand them (or put them back on) to the next owner, or at least make him acknowledge in writing that he's been made aware of what's written on the warning stickers. You can't be too careful these days, unfortunately.

CORED91- So what is the size of the label on your visor? Please let me know. The manufacturer may be required to put them on but I know of no requirement for the consumer to leave them on. They used to peel off easily but some of the new ones seem to be imbeded into the material so that I would be concerned with tearing the high priced premium fabric on the visor. Covering it seems a better course, especially if the plaques look as good as the one's I have previously seen done by this company.

Mike,
Mine measures 1-1/2" by 5-3/8" inches. My garage door opener covers all but about last inch and half.

Great--The 03 is just about the same size as the one in the 04.

I live on the edge! I take off all of those labels! The visor ones came off somewhat easily and I have saved them in my paperwork book along with all of my other documentation and inside hang tags.

The matress labels can be removed by the buyer of the matress.

Can you measure your labels and tell me if they are about 1-1/2" by 5-1/2"? Thanks

visor plates

Finally got the Sunvisor Plates to cover the ugly warning labels on my 04 Vette. PT Warehouse from Maryland made them, you can find them on the net [contact Ira] if interested. The ones they made fit the C-5, at least the 04 model, but not the C-6 which I noticed yesterday on a test ride has a huge label, like double the size of the one in the 04. Really ugly. Anyway, PT warehouse made them in 3 colors/variations. I got some in Black with Gold lettering saying "Corvette" on them. I put them on yesterday and they look a lot better than what was up there before. Get em while you can. I think the pair will retail for about $16.

Do you have a link for PT? Also, has anyone used the Goo Be Gone on the visors? I peeled mine off and now have the dried adhevise on the vison.
