Dumb me!

I ended up catching a curb on the passenger side bottom, and it skruntched away material into the fiberglas.

What do I use to repair this? 2-part epoxy? If I drive it in the rain, will water seep through the material and wreak havoc further out from the damaged area?

Picture is bottom curved edge by passenger door.

Thanks
Mike

Hi there,
The part that you are showing in the attached, is the lower sill, and it is all fiberglass.
You can use fiberglass resin to repair the condition.
Your framerail is below that, so you need not worry about water intrusion into the vehicle.

Hey thanks!

Almost bought a resin/hardener kit today, but since I wasn't really sure it was fiberglas (looked like it), I thot I'd wait a little longer for an answer. All my old resin is too old (made a gas tank and fairing for an ultralight years ago) and I didn't want to get the wrong thing. The stuff has a shelf life.

I sure am glad that sill is fiberglas...
