I have a '92 LT! that has a very "Slight" engine miss during acceleration from 2-3,000 RPM. I have in the past 3 months installed a new opti-spark, new plugs, new ignition module and coil. I am "Driving" it with an MSD 6A ignition with a new harness as the old harness was damaged from the underhood heat. I also replaced the CCM at the same time I did the opti-spark. I am about to replace the wires that are 3 years old with Taylor spiral pro. Does anyone have any other suggestions I may have overlooked? Could the PCV be a suspect? Or Fuel filter? Suggestions please. Thank you, Tim

Hi Tim....I have one for ya...

Hi Tim....maybe, just maybe your problem is like mine.

I did everything such as you, I have a 1990 and went through the whole ignition system, changing:

Cap, Rotor, Plugs, Wires, Upper and lower coils, and ignition module....(this of course was different cause you have the opti systmem and I didn't but to get back on the subject lol)

My problem believe it or not is a bad fuel injector!... take the cap off and put an ohm meter across the injectors wires, if any one of them falls below 12 ohms you have a bad injector.....and I use 12 ohms very borderline considering they are all around 17-18 ohms when brand new.

Mine....8.9 on one of them, all the others 17.3-17.6.

Give it a try....this drove me nuts!!! cause it definitely feels like a miss but its very slight....almost easy to ignore....for me it was most noticeable when idleing.

Just an idea Tim
hope you find your problem

Thanks Brother!
I suspected the plugs and wires after further investigation. I removed all the plugs and wires and put on a new set of Taylor Spiral Pros like I had ran several years ago. I noticed the plugs were a little fouled, probably from when I had the opti breakdown a few months back and went on and replaced the plugs again as I had bought a "bunch" of AC Rapidfires when all the Wal-Marts were discontinuing them....now she runs fine...just gotta get the ASR cables adjusted the "way I like 'em". Thanks for the input, have a nice day....Tim
