Has anyone experienced their skip shift working intermittently? I have noticed that when I first start the engine and drive for about 15 to 20 minutes the skip shift does not activate. I can shift from 1st to 2nd at any speed below 20 MPH with no problem. Once I have driven for a bit it will start working. It only comes on when I am doing approximately 10 to 18 miles per hour and again it is intermittent. What I mean is when I have been driving and stop for gas, or whatever, and start again it may or may not activate. Is this normal or is it an indication of other problems?

Note: No codes have been displayed.

Jefe - can't really help you since I eliminated the CAGS as soon as I bought my Vette. I'm sure someone will jump in to help you shortly.

Hi there,
The coolant temp must be above 122 degrees, and your throttle angle has to be less than 25% for the CAGS to engage.
This is normal, from what you are telling us here.

Thanks. Just wanted to make sure that everything was working as advertised.

The best thing to do is buy a 20 dollar kit . It has two caps in it . You unplug a connecter down by the tranny and plug these two caps onto the two ends your left with . It's that simple . Cliff

Melllowyellow - Thanks I'll order one right away. so I will be ready when the weather breaks and I can drive my vette again.
