i noticed that when i pull back on the top of my steering wneel that there is a significant amount:W of give to it...
whats up with that.?

Probly the 3 torx screws in the column under the turn sig switch,Or the tilt pins are loose!:thumb:thumb:thumb
Happens allot on C4's,seems likes everybody like to pull their self out by the steering wheel!!:L

Isn't that normal? Isn't that the space between the different tilt-lock positions?

Naw,it ain't that bad!!You can set in the drivers seat to do it!!:thumb Be sure to disconnect the positive battery cable and ground it,I'd hate to see you eat a Air Bag!!:boogie:boogie:boogie

PS Be ex specially careful with the clock spring under the steering wheel,It's the connecting circuit for the air bag, they won't take much abuse and there Expensive!!:thumb:thumb:thumb

:D

i have experienced the eating of an airbag...it happens really quick and then there is a moment of silence when you realize something has gone terribly wrong...lol

I havent pulled an air bag in a vette...but I did in a pontiac and remember a warning about a residual charge even with battery dis-connected. There was an extra procedure with extra disconnecting under dash, static discharge, as well as carrying it away from your body even when removed.
The warnings kinda scared me so I just treated it like a gun...assume its loaded and not point it toward anything you didnt want to hurt.....Make sure not to point it toward the family jewels :chuckle
