1992 Callaway SN 425 #001 Bright Aqua 6spd.
I just got the Jan. issue of Hemmings. And Barrett-Jackson is auctioning the Sledghammer, a ZR1 Speedster, a C12 and a C7R. None of these cars have a reserve on them. The auction is in Az. Jan 21-25 2004.
Does Callaway still (presently) own the Sledghammer? The C12 is owned by one of the Callaways, maybe they all are?

Supernatural001, The Sledgehammer is still owned by Callaway Cars :upthumbs

The C12 was Reeves' Fathers car.

The SuperSpeedster & C7R are both owned by the same gentleman,

There are a few other Callaways being auctioned too, Here is a link to another discussion about them - w/ pictures...

Are you planning on heading over to AZ to this event??

Enjoy:beer

89x2, My sons are trying to talk me into going. It would be nice to see these cars. Right now I am not sure if I am going but very possible.

damn distances and time....

I'd be out there in a second.. I'd be the 3rd person to bid and then I'd pray that someone outbid me so that I wouldn't go broke trying to pay for the hospital bills from when I inevitably get the sledgehammer up to 220 MPH on the interstate on the way home and try to make a gradual right turn and nearly (read: completely) kill myself...

but that's just me :D

Mike

Damn it I want the Sledgehammer, the C7R, and the LM Speedster. I just wish I had the money

Anyone know how many CAC members there are?

We could start a charity campain that everyone donate like 2 or 5 bucks so we can go in and purchase Sledgehammer. Then we could offer up laps for a small donation at the Cruisefest and donate the car then to a muesum for charity or something..

Hey, I figure an obscure thought is the only way I'll ever get to drive it.

Well I guess my idea will never come to fruition. If she sells for 300K (total guess- I have no idea what she'd be worth), and half the CAC members donated, each person would have to give $62.50... Just a tad more than a few bucks.
I'll check my Colorado lotto #'s to see if I won the $88 Million. Your seat time is on me if I won.

If by charity you mean my garage then sure. :)

62 bucks is nothing as long as we all get to take it for a spin!!!
=) 17 yr old driving a sledgehammer hahahaha that would be insane!

Sorry, you are confused...
The old saying goes, Charity begins at the home, MY HOME :beer

I'd give you seat time at Carlisle if that happened ;)
Driver's seat time?

the TT ZR1 is more than a science project!!!

callaway, LPE, gieger, mallet, ect... have done it.

but unfortunately none of these guys are doing them anymore.

now for the GOOD NEWS

SGC (Aaron Scott) is beginning a twin turbo ZR1 project,

two versions,

stage I on the stock engine

and

stage II on a 368 base

they will be MUCH more affordable than any of the above mentioned high $$ TT ZR1s and have high quality components and the reliability that is a must.

email me if interested or jump over to the www.lt5registy.net for more details as they emerge. currently the manifolds are being fabed and should be done in Jan, I expect by spring we will see completion of a running prototype as "proof of concept" along with more parts being shipped off to have copies made up.

I will be helping aaron out with the project, it promises some big things.

the callaway TT cars are awesome, and now there will be some addition TT zr1s entering the scene.

2004 promises to be a very exciting year.
