Does anybody have a spare slip yoke?

I am talking about the one that goes on the back of the trans and hooks to the driveshaft. I need the small one for this 71 vert I am working on with a muncie four speed.

Thanks,

Chris

arent the turbo 400's and the 4 speeds the same yoke?If so i have one here.

Yes..and no. The turbo 400 fits the heavy duty four speeds with the larger shafts. This trans takes the small one that also fits a turbo 350.

Thanks though.

Okay, I ended up machining about an 1" off the slip yoke. For those that don't know.....BUBBA was there behind me and had installed a press on all sides slipe yoke on this car. I assume they pushed the shaft into place with the diff or engine/trans install???

Anyway, it has an automatic frame with removeable cross memeber and a four speed trans. This made it nice. I removed the cross member, pulled the distributor and cooling fan, and let the engine tilt down. Figured my measurement, and pulled it all apart. I then machined yoke down, and slid it all back together.

Since the diff stays constant, I don't think that extra 1" is as big of a deal as if it was a truck or camaro where the rear axle goes up and down and uses that extra 1" from time to time.

Hi Chris..
Ive got the slip yoke plus the M21 and stock shifter all in the Richmond box from when I swapped!. I just stuck it all in the box ready to ship as is. I didnt do any cleaning of any of it. The slip yoke was 4000mi off brand new. The M21 was leaky but the gears were fine. The bearings and seals should be replaced, I think the bearings were worn?.
Id part reasonable for my old stuff..Ill never use it again!
Let me know if you or anyone wants OK.
Reply to my email address if Im soliciting from the wrong place..

Thanks Tom,

I am going to see how this works, and if all goes well, we will leave it as is.

You should list that complete unit in the C3 sell section.

What do you want for the whole thing?

not sure Chris, Ill research it a bit and put it in the c3 section..
Tom
