SMC hood hacksaw help

I located a hood for my 1984 project car very cheap BUT someone had sawed off the piece forward of the left headlight from one side of the headlight opening to the other! Is this repairable? And how? I don't have the cut off piece. Any idea why someone would SAW off this particular section? Thanks for any suggestions.

Ouch! There must be an explanation, but as for the reasoning who knows? Glad to hear you got a hood, sorry to hear you've got your work "cut out" for you.

I can't help with the repairs, but there are many here who will be able to set you in the right direction.

I've had a few Vettes. 57,75,76,80(2),81,84 and my current 84 project. I've loved Corvettes all my life. I'm no expert on working on them but I do all I can and enjoy every minute of it. This is my first SMC repair where there's a piece missing.


I'd like to see that Vette of yours sometime. Gotta go do my 4to12 shift. I'll post some pics when I figure out how to do it.
