Does anyone know where to get a smog pump repaired or even if there is a repair kit for one. Mine is making a loud clicking noise and I feel it could quit or even worst lock up anytime. I found a new replacement, but since eveything else on the car is original I'd like to keep it original too if possible.
Thanks in advance.

It has been more then 6 years ago when I opened up my airpump. If I remember correctly you can open up the pump, the rear casing comes right off and all the stuff is connected the front. You can also remove the pulley and maybe get all the internals out and just switch the casing and pulley so you still have the original casing but other internals? Also check the bearing in front, easy to change and cheap.

Greetings Peter

A guy named Bill Hodell restores smog systems, if you wish. He's been at it a while. Search for his name, you'll find him.
