Last night i took the vette (94) out IN park it was idleing low but on the highway it felt fine. I had the ac on and when i shut the car off there was some smoke coming from inside hood. On the way home i did not use ac and there was no smoke but it did continue to idle low and a little choppy at a stop. tbanks for any imput.

HI,I don't know what year you have but check the belts and or tensioners.the a/c compressor or a/c clutch is most likly the culpret. After a visual inspection cold, open the hood and watch and listen.If no problem is observed at idle then turn the a/c on and be ready to turn it back off when smoke or squeal appears.Good luck. bob.

I agree, just had to replace my compressor two weeks ago.

Oil leaking from the A/C unit??????
Look on the hood underside.....anything??????
