i dont know what this part is called, but there is a arm that bolts to the rear end, one end attahes to a part welded to the frame and there is a bushing attached to it, well i just drove it and heard a noise that sounded like the driveshaft was hitting something, i was going very slow, i drove it back home, jacked the car up and noticed this part with the bushing sheared off, so now i need to cut this part off and weld a new one on, where can i get one... the not to funny part is, my son was the last to drive it!

rear

i'll do that tomorrow i just put the car in the garage, how do i post pics, i just noticed as well that my tires are rubbing up against the emergency brake cables, but i think the reason is that the rear tires sit at an angle (outwards) there 275's

Not sure on how to post pic's here. I had someone post for me.
good luck.

When you get the picture saved on your computer just start like you would to make any post. Type in your message and then scroll down on the page and you will see "attach file" and there is a "browse" button. click the browse button and find the saved picture on your computer and double click it. If it tells you that the file is too big try cropping the picture or save it (or scan it) at a lower dbi (dots per inch) I use 200dbi and usually get them in.

Good luck

Andy

Note: you have to put something in the message section or it will not take it at all.

I had the same thing happen to my car a few years ago. You'll have to remove the old piece as well as you can, the grind the surface of the crossmember flat and smooth and free of rust and paint, then have the new piece welded on.

repair

tomorrow i plan on possible welding in some thicker steel, there 2 bolts that go through this arm with the bushing that acually go through the rear end, i took the nuts off, but cant get the bolts to turn out, if they just slide through is there a safe method to hammer them out, i need to remove this in order to fix the problem

hope this works

got pic

please check my profile name and goto my homepage, i have a pic of the rear end mount, you'll se what broke and if anyone has got this bar off let me know, how to do so, you'll see in the pic there is one bolt remaining in the arm, i cant get it to budge, ( i can get the nut off) i am aware of the fact that i may have to cut away some glass to get the bolt all the way out, can this part be heated??

YOWCH!!

That looks like it hurts!

You'll need a new piece frame section welded in there for sure.
