Solid lifters Or Hydraulic?

Here's a pix of the top of a hydraulic lifter

Notice the two bars at the top.. that's the clip
( for this style ) the push rod fits in the cup shaped hole in the middle.

The move down is very small..but noticable and it does spring back.. so no moovie.. SOLID.

Thanks Guys,

I shined a light down the pushrod hole last night and can see the lifter, it does not appear to have any clips. I also ran the engine for ten minutes and set the #1 cyl at TDC and I cannot push down on the pushrod, so someone put solid lifters in before I bought the car.
