When I step on the brake and use the turn signal; my speedometer will jump up and then go down.

Any idea to what is causing this?

Is this a sign of bigger trouble to come?

. . . I know that sick feeling of dread. . . I sincerely hope it turns out to be something minor (or nothing at all).

It started up yesterday so I'm hoping that it's something minor.

I've done quite a few repairs to this car and believe me; when you get experienced to work on it yourself, that feeling of dread only comes when you have to buy the part. Previously, the feeling of dread was when the service writer told you how much it would cost! :L

At least your able to keep your sense of humor. . . I FREAKED OUT yesterday when something happened to mine (ck the thread . . . first heartbreak. . ). It's the not knowing that scares the s---- out of me. Best wishes ! ! ! ! !

You shouldn't worry at all; your 04' should still be under warranty, though you'd have to worry about the dealer taking care of it.

I think one of the great things about Corvette ownership is working on the Vette' and learning it. I've learned so much about cars in these past few years and I'm always eager to share what I've learned. This forum will teach you a lot; the folks here are experts.

:)
I'm the worrying kind. . .can't help it. I was more afraid of being standed that far from home in the middle of nowhere and having to leave her. No way in h---.

I watched the entire four hours. . . and they didn't drop her off the lift. ;) I asked if they heard about the Stewart incident and they said "Ohhhh yeah. . ." end of comment. Thanks for your input. As you can see, I need all the help I can get.

Edmond,

I hope you have a minor problem on your hands. I know how it feels when something unexpected happens. I know my car like the back of my hand. When a little sputter comes along, i notice. Or in your circumstance a glitch somewhere in the electronics. I am sure it is nothing to major, as to right now I couldn't really help you.

Good luck and let us know what you find....if anything

Craig
