splash shield seals

i have a side exhaust 427 coupe-im getting ready to put the splash shields back on -can any one with a side exhaust car help-i was told the seals are left off the side exhaust cars due to heat-can any one check theirs and verify

To asnswer your question simply NO SEALS ON IT.

If you have any pictures of the splash sheild with the seal on them I could use that for sure.I also can email a picture with out the seals on them.

From a judging perspective, you don't want to re-use your old shields with the seals removed (and the staple holes showing); original sidepipe cars never had seals stapled on, thus had no staple holes in them either.

thanks for the help-my car is a original side pipe car and i wondered why the splash shields didn't have staple holes and why the seals were missing ---now i know it never had them- --im just finishing a frame off restoration--
