Help! Spots on finish

Hello, my 1982 has some water spots on it. They don't come off with a typical car wash. I am looking for a non aggressive way to remove them. Any suggestion?

I have been using Meguiar's Ultimate Polish to get the spots off of my GMC. I don't get water spots from washing since I have a soft water line into the garage for my car washing duties but I did get nasty fallout spotting from parking at work before I retired. We were down wind from the steel mill and when it rained, or worse yet, sprinkled, there was all kinds of very tough spotting on the paint. You can use this by hand or with a foam pad on a polisher. It's mild enough to take off the spots with a little effort without biting into the paint. I use a 7" polisher for the wide open areas then polish by hand along the edges and peaks just to be safe.
