my car seems to bottom out on my exhaust alot especially with two people in it . I installed delco gas shocks didnt seem to help.Do I need to install a new mono spring or will an adjustable shock take care fof the problem.

Check the spring for cracks. Also make sure no one used longer outer spring bolts in order to lower the ride height intentionally.
Just a suggestion.

rear spring

Thanks Im not sure what lenght the bolts should be but Ill find out .I was told that the fiberglas spring never wears out is that true

Everything wears out. In this case, any spring, regardless of material will lose its tension or get weak over time. One other thing to look out for is oil leaks. They're not good for fiberglass.
One other item: are you sure that your pipes are at the correct height? Bear with me, I'm thinking out loud.

Remember, you can also adjust the ride height with the spring bolts. This might cure the problem a bit, but if the spring is shot you would still want to replace it.

The fiber Momo spring do go soft. That is a warning on them that to much heat will shorten their live. There is soppose to be a heat shield between the spring and the exhuast pipes. I removed the momo spring that came on my 78 when I got it. The 2 1/2" pipes and no heat shield had sagged the spring. Most momo springs only have a 3 year warranty.

Now that I have the side pipes on I may go back to a momo leaf rear spring, but not sure. I have a spare new 9 leaf packed away if I ever need it, so I think I'll stay with the steel ones for now.

Good luck figuring it out, i'd say it is either the rear spring or the pipes.

Ok the consensus seems to be the spring Do I buy a standard spring or do I up grade to a heavy duty Thanks for all your help

I switched from a 7leaf steel G spring to a 340 composit has great response and height ajustable with bolts plus the car lost 40lbs in back just with the spring.

That's a question that only you can answer. The stiffness of the ride is at stake here. Everyone has their own taste. Sort of like: How sweet do you like your coffee?"The fiberglass springs come in different rates. Where the metal springs tend to offer less options. One other item to consider: the shocks that you use will also have a dramatic effect on ride too. It depends on the roads that you drive on and your backside. Good luck with your car!

I found the 340 to be a little soft I have Blisteen hi pressure sport shocks and uped to a 1'' sway bar, to do agin I would chose the 360, but I like a hard tight ride ,she does corner good at any speed doesent roll at all,& is a nice ride
