NASCAR announced on Tuesday that Sprint will not extend title sponsorship of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series beyond its current contract, which expires after the 2016 season.

Uh-oh.
Betcha Brian France has been loosing sleep.

No wonder at the NASCAR Champions Week in Las Vegas, NASCAR had Sprint's role very high profile.

Guess all that ass-kissing didn't help much.

I'm sure that it's great for ratings and race attendance to be changing your name all of the time. Never did like naming things for sponsors as they change all of the time.:bang

Wasn't it at one time just the Grand National Championship, before Winston Cup maybe?

As I used to get the same seats at Charlotte, Rockingham and Bristol for years in the 1990s. I'd change only to get better seats. I remember NASCAR when fist fights were the norm. :D About all I can add is I've lost a lot of interest in the past years. As I remember the days when a commercial was seeing sponsor's names on the cars; I quit going when the finish was interrupted for a commercial

One of the reasons Buick called it hotrod Regal back in the '80s the "Grand National"
