Squeaking issue....

The bushings on the rear of my car have dried out and the squeaking is driving me crazy. Instead of having to grease them constantly, I would like to upgrade to something like the polyurethane bushings. Can I get these w/o buying the control arms? If so, where? thanks.

Hi there,
Well, you can upgrade, but there is a simple solution.
There is a special lubricant that most GM dealerships have.
It is specifically for any rubber to metal contact and works very well.
12345879 is the part number if memory serves.
Otherwise, your dealership should repair that unless it is out of warranty.

Thanks for your response. I took it to a friend's shop this morning who has a drive on lift. It was definitely the bushings. We sprayed an entire can of lubricant and all is well now. I have to go to the dealer next week for an ebrake issue so I will talk to them about it then. Thanks a bunch for your help.
