squeaky brake fixable under warranty?

My new C5 developed a squeaky brake (left rear) at about 2500 miles. I brought it in for an oil change about 2800 miles and the assistant manager service guy said a squeak fix is not covered under warranty. Since then, 5000 miles later, the squeak got a little worse and is really annoying. I want it fixed, but don't want to spend the money on a brake job for a new car. Is there any way to get the dealer to fix it under the warranty?

Is it only when the brakes are applied, or is it when you are moving, or when you are just shifting the gears without moving?????

Um, is this a trick question? :confused

Of course when I'm, er, the car, is moving (I don't squeak, unless she pinches me ) It squeaks when I come to a gradual stop, like at traffic lights or stop signs. Very light pressure or heavy pressure has no squeak. I don't want to scare people at the light when I rush up to them then slam on the brakes, nor irritate the people behind me my starting the braking sooner and slowing down slowly. (is that slowly slowing? :L )

Hi There,
My wife’s van had an annoying squeak (not her the van) and I sprayed the back of the pads with stop squeak and the problem went away.

Hi there,
No trick question, just the facts. You can have a squeak when just pushing on the pedal, I have seen it.
As for the rest, then maybe you need some pads. Normally, pads will cure the issue.
You dont want to use any spray type adhesive on the backs of the pads.
