Very Nice. I was considering this how hard is it to do?

Thanks,
-Andy
It's not hard as long as you take your time.....

Aluminum guage bezels

What is the process to take off the clear cover (plastic lense) over top of the guage package. There appears to be two screws at the top to undo. Anything else.

The bezels I have are aluminum billet which glue on the rings of the guages.

There are four more screws at the bottom.. You can get the process here ---> http://www.vetteessentials.com/instructions/g_bezels/bezel_howto.html

Here are some pics of my completed project, white face gauges and Alum Bezels.

This is during the day

This is at night with the guage glow option on.

I have a full set of bezels if you would like to buy them. $49 US.

Looks great! Which company did you choose to purchase the gauge faces from? I've been considering this mod for some time and seeing your good results is encouraging. In your three final pictures you mention a "gauge glow option" that clearly changes the color and light amount in the gauge cluster. What is this, another light source? Is it included with the gauge face kit?

I'm a little concerned about the break! icon and others that are now more visible, especially at night. Slickman, can you offer your real world opinion on how much the icons really show through? Do they detract from the overall cleanliness of the white background?

Thanks for your opinion and your great photos of the final gauge cluster.

The amount that these icons show thru in real driving conditions is minimal.. Its only an area that is not illuminated by the “Glow option”.. This in NO way detracts from the daytime driving look period.. During night driving you see what you see in my pic above.. Small price to pay.. If that bothers you, you can just shut off the “Glow option” and use the OEM lights in the cluster (the last pic). The last pic is not quite that dark blue with the OEM lighting. My cameras not able to give a real view of how it looks. It looks WAY to blue, its not that blue in person…not at all…..

I think it one of the best interior mods I have done and well worth the money and time

I purchased my set on Ebay from VIMotorsports Inc. out of Orlando, Florida.

Cost me $79.98 including shipping.

Generally they have listings on ebay if you wish to check out. I will sell for $49 US plus shipping.

Let me know.
