Last week,

My starter gave up the ghost... the solonoid would pull in but no spin.

$219.00 go me a AC Delco re man.

1 hr under the car & bada bing VROOM

BUT the install was a bit scary.

The line for the exhaust ( going to the cat ) & the tranny cooling lines are in the way.

It took a bit of creative.....flexing.... to get the starter in & out ( about 2-3 inches of TWEAKING) so do not be afraid.

Just sharing the fun

Starter Fun

It was ,

Took care of that with a small body high torque starter that went in with no tweaking.Plus a new not reman high torque was only $149.

Hey Hoosier,

Where did you buy that high torque starter? I think mine is failing too. The other day the starter sounded like I had tried starting the car whne it was already running. The problem was that it was OFF!. I think the bendix is sluggish pulling in.

Radar :confused
