starter selinoid part number ???/

well trying to get my barn find zr1 going and i have what i think is a selinoid going out . turn the key and it clicks 2-3 times then the starter engages . bat. is new. .can one just replace the selinoid or should i just bite the bullet and geta new starter .?

You have to remove the plenum to get to the starter so i advise you buy a new starter if all grounds are clean, also check the clutch switch as they were a problem. Get a FSM now if you are doing any work on the car.

thanx for the info , i know the plenum pull having done it many times before . all grounds cked bat bran new , just thought i might save some cash by replacing the solinoid only . has any one done this ????. this car make my collection of zr1s at 4 cars . just cant not buy when the deal is good .oh well
