hi everyone! i have a technical issue. a couple of months back my Vette had a starting issue. when i first turned it over, it made a clicking sound(like a dead battery). when i started it the second time, it turned over but did not start. finally, on the third try it started! the RPM's are 500 when idleing. the engine runs very smooth, but i do not know what is going on. it did it again this morning, but like i said earlier, it fired up. i replaced the ECM three years ago and it has less than 3K miles on it as well as the ignitor which was done 6 years ago. any ideas of what it would be? thanks!

The first thing that comes to mind are the battery connections and the positive connection at the starter and all the grounds from the battery to the engine to the frame. The clicking is a good indication of low voltage or low current because of a bad connection.

I agree. Mine did the same thing. When it would start the idle was low. Turned out to be some corosion on the battery cable.
