This is on a 73 - sometimes when I try to start it up I have power to dash, fan, radio, etc. but no power to the starter (or at least the starter does nothing). So I had a new ignition and key switch installed. It still does this from time to time. Could it be the starter itself;shrug Thanks - Michel :pat

On my 82 I the same problem. Turned out I wasn't getting the 7+vt required at the solonoid from the ignition. I'm pretty sure that the dreaded 6 pin connector needs replacing and will tackle that this spring. As a temp fix I ran a starter button inside the car with a direct 12vt feed to the solonoid. No more problems but I don't like band-aids. It's an easy check on the solonoid to meter for voltage with key on not running.
Hope it helps some.

Thanks Carlo - I'll give that a try. Nice 82 you have there.
