Std to Sport Conversion Seats

Hi, I am hoping I can get some guidance on an investment I just made. I bought a set of sport seats to replace my tattered standard seats in my 85, drivers side power, passenger manual.

My dilemma now is how to install the seats. Can I use the power seats for any C4, can I splice into the seat controls for the drivers side to power both sides, and will the power from the console have enough volts/amps to run the sport seats? I do not know at this point if they are round or square plugs, should receive the seats at the end of the week.

If anyone knows of a kit available, that is great as well! Thanks for all your assistance and Go Bucks!

Search eBay or a vette salvage yard for the seat control harness, it splits like you describe.. that will work for installing sport seats.

Thanks for the guidance, since the sport seats were an option in 85 I assumed the wiring should be able to handle the load, although I doubt I will ever move both at the same time, will keep the amps down.

no, that is in the seat itself..

this one has both seat controls for the tracks..
