What is the part nbr for the kent tool to remove the steering wheel?

I found a J-1859-A steering wheel remover, did not find a J-1859-03 from Kent, are they they same or different?

$54 for a onetime pull, man I hate all the special tools GM always seem to use.

I'm not sure surfer, I got the number out of the FSM. Let me know if it works for you, I may be interested in buying it when you finish with it. I recently ordered a new steering wheel off Ebay, if my old puller will not work I may need one too.

Well I found out the "A" supercede's the 03, thanks Toptech.

They must have gone with a gold plated puller in 93, because the puller from AutoZone cost me $15.

92BlackVette is correct on this one Surfer contrary to the warning in the FSM.
I pulled my wheel yesterday with the same puller I've used for years with no problem. You will want some long 5/16" coarse thread bolts, preferably grade 5 or 8, mine were 4".
Do not thread the pulling bolts into the wheel deeper than 1/2" or you will damage the clockspring for the air bag! I threaded a nylock nut on the pulling bolts at the correct depth as a stop to prevent damage.:thumb

HARBOR FREIGHT fan

I bought my puller at HF. The price was right (~$25) and worked like a charm. Well made and came in its own case.
