I need to take the steering wheel off and send it somewhere to be re-wrapped.

To just take the wheel off do I need to use a puller?

Next question would be WHERE to send it to get it re-wrapped?

Last question, is there any preventative maintenance I should do while I WAIT for the wheel to come back?

Thanks

Steering wheel removal is very easy, remove the horn button, horn mechanism (take notes so that you remember how it goes back together), the Telescopic adjustment nut,(a coupe screws and a nut, if I remember correctly) then remove the six screws that attach the Steering Wheel and remove the wheel. A puller is not required. It is a pretty straight forward process. I have had my Steering Wheel off about three times.
Mid America and Eklers both advertise Steering Wheel restoration, but it is costly at 199.00. You may be able to find someone out there on the Left Coast to do it cheaper. Darrell

Thanks for the information. I'll give it shot this winter or spring after the paint job.
