steering wheel sticking

Sometimes when I turn the wheel to the left it feels like it sticks for a moment on the return to the right. What can be causing this?

HI there,
There have been a few cases here in Ct, where I have seen the rubber boot, at the base of the column would stick slightly. It would sometimes cause noise, or a stickiness, but nothing to where you would feel it in the steering.
I would ask if there are any abnormal noises in the steering????
