I am getting really frustrated about the hestitaion problem in my 72. The Vette has new rotor, cap, plugs, wires, and the carb is perfect except the fast idle won't engage! All parts are up to specs! The timing is perfect and so is the advance! No changes, it still lugs badly at 1500 to 2000 RPMS!!! The engine runs perfect even when cold as ice!!! SOMEBODY HELP!!! I'M AT WITS END WITH THIS PROBLEM!!!!

Sounds like an air leak, but I'm curious, what carb do you have, and what do you mean when you say the fast idle wont engage?

If it work good when it's cold, and the choke is engaged, then it bogs when you warm it up, it sounds like it is not getting enough gas.
I could be that your accelerator pump is worn and not squirting when you accelerate. Or you may loose screws on the top or bottom of your carburetor causing a lean condition.
Or your EGR valve may be stuck.

If it runs great cold and bad hot id say the choke may be sticking shut or you may have a bad choke pulloff if the stock Q-jet is still in use.
