stock 93 Corvette times

i bought a 40th anniversary Corvette about 6 months ago. it has the ZF 6speed and 3.45 gears. 71000 miles. about a week after i bought it i changed the oil and headed down to the dragstrip to see what it was capable of. i had absolutely NO previous experience racing a manual trans car before i went down. this would be my first time launching a stick. i got a decent 60ft, but i didnt shift very quickly due to my inexperience. i ran a 13.89 at 101.51mph w a 2.06 60ft.

then the tracks closed for the winter and i did some basic maintenance. i changed out the plugs, and flushed all the fluids. i also got a bit better at driving stick. went back down to the track on opening day and ran a bit faster: 13.70 at 104.00mph w a 2.1960ft. traction was horrible that night cause there were so many people ansd i guess the officials couldnt keep up with the prep.

that was almost a month ago. ive honed my shifting technique so i can bang gears ALOT quicker than before (im still a bit nervous about powershifting, but i feel my shift technique is as close as you can get), and ive swapped my DRs from my old 89' Vette over to the 40th. any guesses on what a 100% factory stock LT1 6speed Vette can run with a set of sticky tires? i just want a rough idea of what to expect PS - ill post my new times when i return from the track this Fri. wish me luck

I hit 13.48 in Sothpaw's 93 6-speed, though he had roller rockers installed. Only mod, though, IIRC.

didn't he have the claw air cleaner setup?

but i think a stock well maintained and tuned 93 could hit 13.3's-13.6's easily

I don't think he yet had the Claw. After that was installed, I think he got 13.3's.
