What is a good time for my car? I ran it last weekend and clicked off several 13.90's passes @ 96-97 MPH. The car is a 1994 coupe, auto, with performance axle ratio package.

Thanks

WELCOME to the forum girvin :beer I'd say you can do better. It's not terrible, but I think there's a few 10's left in her to be tapped, Tell us more, tires, 60ft, how'd you feel like you drove, did you manually shift, ect ;) :w

to start off with, every track is different... compare your car to other cars running at the same track. At one track I run at, that would be a very good time, and it would equal mid 13's (13.4-13.6) at some of the 'faster' tracks. you would think that a 1/4 mile is a 1/4 mile, but I have seen large differences.

Quickest ET of the day:
60 ft --- 2.088
1/8 ET --- 9.019
1/8 MPH --- 82.99
1/4 ET --- 13.923
1/4 MPH --- 96.61

The car has stock tires. I got the best 60 ft times leaving at 1,000-1,200 RPM. I left the trans in overdrive for every race, letting it shift itself.

I'll be sure to keep a look out for other Corvettes at the track. I'm curious as to what some average stock times are.

I hope this helps.....I have a 92 convertible LT1..Automatic ..3.73 gears....power pulleys,forced-air..factory tires..I took it once to the track (3 years ago)and my best time was 13.56 if I remeber correctly.Alot of the folks there were very surprised so I figured it was pretty good.Of caurse they did not know that I had the 3.73 gears, which by the way are awesome.I'm hoping to try it again this summer.

seahorse.....The truth is I got everything done at once and I never even tried my car before anything was done to it.I only ran the 1/4 mile 4 times in one day and that was it.....I'm hoping to get to the track this summer.

My dads bone stock 92 Vette LT1 Automatic with 50000 miles ran 13.8@99 MPH that was the first time we raced it.

my 97 Z28 with the LT1 and auto ran 13.7@100 That was with cold air intake, larger TB, exhaust cut out, underdrive pulleys

I could have gone faster with the Z28 but i could only get 2.01 60 Ft. times on cheep 245/50/ZR/16 tires

Those are standard times for a 94 corvette with the way you drove it.
Just my o2 but!!!
Don't power brake the car just flash the converter by stomping on the gas,the time will be quicker.
By the way he has a 4L60E trans he can't shift it ,the computer does all the work. One more thing the trans needs to be in drive to get a quicker time ,also the norm should be 13.70 at 102 mph.
The car has a dana 36 with 307 in the rear.
Install a K&N filter that will let it breath alittle.
Power brake the car for more than 6 seconds and you could blow the hp trans solenoid.
You did great for the first time I only ran 13.70's my first time .
Now I run 11's with your same set up.just added beehive springs and 1.6 rr.
Oh yes with a little help from barry grant and a 125 shot of nitrous.11.21 121.36 mp Drag radials ,1.63 60"
