FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to find a stolen sports car.
According to the sheriff’s office, around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, what appears to be a white man was seen walking around the parking lot of Goodson’s Auto Repair on Village Oaks Boulevard in Crofton.
This is near the Lake Monticello main gate.
The person walked into the parking lot from the woods in the Lake Monticello community.
He was seen getting into two other vehicles before driving off in a black 1981 Chevrolet Corvette with Virginia tags 6559DY.
The lights in the tail lights do not work and the radio antenna is gone with the spot where it was patched over. The Corvette has a red and black interior.
Officials say the man was heading in the direction of the BP gas station, turning right out of the Crofton business section onto Lake Monticello Road.
It appears he was heading toward South Boston Road.
Anyone with information is asked to Deputy W. White at (434) 589-8211.
