For some reason my 84 vette started making a clicking sound from the rear hatch. It wound up killing the battery, so I had to pull the fuse to stop it. Do you think this is the hatch switch, relay or some kind of wiring problem?;shrug

Sounds like one of your hatch switches (probably one of the rocker switches in the door) is not returning to the "open" position when you release it.

My driver's side door switch does this...if I just push it to open the hatch and let it go...the solenoid for the hatch will just continue to cycle. I have to manually push the switch back to the "open" position.

Don't have aneurysm, it's OK.

As I said I pulled the fuse. I also recharged the battery. Thank you for the reply and LIGHTEN UP A BIT :beer

Thank you Bill (Geekinavette), you were correct, I never used the switches in the door and the drivers side one was broken. Thank you for being so polite.
