Open Circuit Due to Heat Expansion

When ever someone tells me a circuit malfunctions and then suddenly works again after a cool down period, I start thinking about what would expand and open a circuit.

I found the problem.

I got to fiddling with it today, and nothing made sense until I started snooping around under the dash.

Looks like my big boot kicked the connector on the end of the wire from the relays into the fuse box. The connector wasn't completely out, but it was loose enough to only provide intermittent power to the fans. A simple push fixed that.

I'm replacing the single toggle switch with two separate "lighted" switches.....one for each fan. Now, I'll be able to control them separately, and I'll know if I suddenly lose power to them as the light will be out. I won't have to wait for the rising temperature on the gauge to tell me.

Yes They are ...only...If your On the CAC.. to find out WTF is wrong when they Screw up...
