When I bought the vehicle (96 LT-1 Coupe) I did not get a transmitter with it. PKE light would be on some times and off at other times. There was never a pattern.
So, I bought a transmitter and tried to program the system. Following the correct instructions, I could never get the PKE light to blink, so I never got it programed.
This morning I got in the vehicle and the PKE light was on again. When I inserted the key into the ignition, the hatch popped open and the latch kept cycling. I removed the key and reinserted it. The latcch stopped cycling and the PKE light went out. This evening when I inserted the key into the ignition the PKE light came on and stayed on (hatch did not open this time). I've checked all fuses and they are ok.
Anyone had a problem like this and if so, what did you do to fix it?
