He everyone,

Here is the result of having my 73 media stripped. It is as clean as can be, the surface is a bit texured, but some sandind and filler will cure that. Now I can truly see the 30 body history. Not to bad, bust a few bumps and bruises. Cast me $900.00 including the door jams. A bit costly, but I guess there is no better way to prepare for a quality paint job!

Why do I see white lines next to the hood, headlight doors etc?

Did you have a lot of vacuuming to do to get rid of the left over media material?
 
May I ask what type of media was used to clean the body? There is a place near me that uses "corn cobb", but I am concerned about what it will do to the fiberglass.:confused
 
The white lines are areas that were taped as not to damage the edges. The media was Aluminum Oxcide, the car was clean when I picked it up. The surface is a bit texured but a quick 400-600 dry san prior to the sealer coat will clrae that right up!
