I am doing some interior work and one the holes where the screw goes into is strip. The screw is going into fibreglass and the screw is just a normal interior screw, like a self-tapping style. My question is, how can I fix this?
Thank you

Plug it or patch it. If the hole is on a flat surface which won't show with the trim piece installed, you can patch it with fiberglass mat and resin. If the stripped hole is in a boss, plug it with mat and resin.

What are you trying to repair?

:)

Hi Mike,
I am replacing the seat belts in my vette, and the trim that runs from the driver side to the t-bar, the screw at the top where the t- bar trim joins with this trim, one of the screw holes are stripped. It been like this for a while and I am finally getting around to fix it.

For lightly-stressed applications like trim attachment, the little plastic drywall anchors with a flange on them work very nicely as a repair for a stripped-out hole. :)

Wow. Great Idea! I will have to put this into effect!
