Stuck hood on 81

Seems the hood release will not work, does anyone know of a tool to release the clips holding hood or any way to get to the cable to manually release the hood?
All response's will be appreciated.

Under the hood at the base of the windshield up in the corner, feel around for a plug, it is about 3/4" or so in diameter, push the plug into the engine compartment, then take a screw driver and feel around until you can feel pressure, there is a square type opening in the opening mech, once you feel this move the screwdriver toward the fender, this releases the cable.

If the driverside is the only side to release, and if you can, reach the cross cable and pull on it to release the passengers side, if this doesn't work the passengers side is set up the same way as the driver side with the rubber plug

Also, sometimes you can reach up under the dash and pull on the cable and release the hood.. good luck

Thanks Rare81, got the hood open. Dam that was a pain, my hands are not that slim to get in there. Much appreciated. Now to start working on clean up. Been sitting around for a long while. Again, thanks.
