NO matter how long I allow my 98 to warm up it will stumble on itself when accelerating hard off the line. It will not do this again all day, unless she cools all the way down. It will start to take off then acts like she is not getting fuel for a second, shutters then takes off. any thoughts

In what condition is the fuel system?

Does the engine ever set any fault codes?

Is the engine modified? If so, to what extent?

How many miles are on the engine?

Have you run any detergent based injector cleaners, such as Red Line Complete Fuel System Cleaner or Chevron Techron, through the engine?

. no modifictions completley stock 5000 miles ago car was gone over bumper to bumper every fluid changed injectors cleaned plugs wires checked faults on sunday, not one and will not do it after 1st acceleration. hard to show off when leaving a show

Hi there,

Obviously, you have a fuel or air delivery issue.

The reason it ONLY happens when you first start it is that your in open loop and the ECM is not looking at the fuel trims.

Once you get to closed loop, the compensation of the fuel system takes over and your fine.

I would wonder what they cleaned your injectors with. Did they do a flow test rating???? What were the readings ???

Did you attempt to run a 20 oz bottle of Techron PLUS through your car ?????

Allthebest, c4c5
