Has anyone ever put a supercharger into a C5 with an automatic transmission? If so, can it take a 490 HP and 474 lbft of torque without disintergrating? The Vortech advertises that kind of power, but what breaks at that kind of power on a C5?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you'll be alright as long as you don't have slicks and your not drag racing with it.

As for superchargers the experts in the business are AA on the west coast and East coast superchargers (on the east obviously). Might want to check with them for the best performance and price and even for the answer to that question

The 4L60E A4 tranny is only rated to 350 lbs torque. That is why torque management is programmed into the PCM. The tranny will go south with 490 rwhp. I had a FLP Level IV tranny installed the same time as my supercharger install.
