This has only happened a few times. When car is warm and I stop for a 20-30 minutes when I start it will surge, sputter and die. After restarting 2 or three times it will finally sputter a bit but once I get going down the road it seems to clear in just 10-20 seconds. Sorta like flooding. It just so happened that the few times it has done this was when my bride was taking a ride with me.

She thinks she is jinxing it. I love her very much and have been married for 30 years. I hope she is not a jinx to my Vette cause I love my Vette too and I think I'd miss her (my wife) alot. I really need to find what is causing this so I can keep them both.

First off...My condolences about your wife...Before she leaves, have her buy you a HELMS manuel with the electrical supplement. Its a BIBLE...will save you thousands of dollars.

Have you changed the fuel filter?
Have you checked the EGR?
Have you Checked the air cleaner doors?
Have you checked the fuel Pressure?
Did you have low gas level when it surges and spudders?
Have you checked for cracked vacuum hoses?
Have you tuned it up lately ? http://www.corvettefever.com/techarticles/4688/
You need to check the TPS for correct setting {Throddle Possion Sensor}
Disconnect the electrical connectors on the two injectors...crank it over and see if eather of the injectors are leaking.
Make sure both injectors have a nice even cone shaped spray while running
Remove the IAC (iidle air controller) and clean and set the pinical<sp>
