Hey everybody, I hope things are going well for all you c3 drivers.
I recently spent about 150 for a windjammer for my 78 s/a and have been enjoying the reduced wind turbulence.

Some of you may remember my spedo trouble, and a new lower cable and transducer fixed the problem, in addition I recently overhauled my tachometer and now it is working.

My cruise is working again with the new tranducer. I can set it, it will slow down about 5 mph and them speed back up that same 5 mph - over and over.

Can someone tell me what the problem might be? Leaking vaccum hoses, adjustments on the transducer?

Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated.:cool

I am enjoying the spring driving here in North Mississippi, unless your car is a "show car only" get it out and drive it!!!!

Make sure there is not any slack in the cable from the servo to the carb.

I have the same problem. Checked the for slack and didn't see any. I hope you get some good answers for your problem. Maybe we can fix both of our problems.

as far as i can tell i have no vaccum leaks, the napa transducer only lasted about 25 miles before my speedo died again. Now i am going to have to put a second Napa transducer on because they do not want to give me my money back.

That is BS. I can`t believe they would not give you a swap. Wow. That is customer service for you. I bet they take the old one in on core charge.

Hopefully you put this on your credit card and can dispute the charge.

no wait guys

There are going to get me another transducer, I am just thinking that one from ecklers or another corvette supplier would be better. They did not want to refund my money, they definetly wanted to get me another transducer. I may have not been clear in my previous post.

The surging is a common problem. It's a crappy spin off from a Mopar design. Chrysler however got theirs right. I gave up getting mine to work years ago.
