I checked the build out on my vette, and found out hat I have the soft ride, or what ever.. I was wondering how hard to change it to something more performance oriented... Would it be advisable to go to a Z51, or Z07 setup if possible, or go to an aftermarket kit?

Z07 has FX3 incorporated, so that is out.... I am pretty sure Z51 is possible, but aftermarket is probably your best bet... try checking Vette Brakes and Products, and the major 'Vette parts magazines

It wouldnt be hard to just bolt on some new Z51 springs, and get some new Bilsteins. That should stiffen up the ride considerably.
