Swapping Carriers

Has anyone changed the rear ends? I have the whole carrier setup, cover and all to install. I'm putting in a 3.07 to replace my 2.59. Any difficulties I will run into? Do you have to use the leaf spring compressor or does it just make it easier? Would appreciate any pointers before I start this project.

Not to bad of a job. You need good stable safe tall jack stands, a good jack, and you are half of the way there.

Chris, thanks for your reply. Read your post. My only question is, Did you need the leaf spring compressor the shop manual says to use?
