I purchased an 02 vette and the 01 I still have has better tires. If I just switch tires and rims, will the tire pressures register on each car? Or will I have to move the tires, but leave the rims on the respective cars? Thanks for your help in advance.

The transponders are standardized. No issues - they'll work fine when you switch the tires and wheels between the two cars.

Thanks for the reply Remo. I wonder if two corvettes are sitting side by side, which pressures does each car read?

I think you'll have to retrain the sensors!

yellowtin,

jrose has a point - there was a design change on the transponders in 2001 and that may have required a change in the recieving units However, since you're talking about a 2001 and 2002 vette I think you'll be fine. Check out the differences between the two designs advertised by Mid America Corvette Supply.

You will have to program new or different sensors to your vehicle.
