Before I launch off on a wild goose chase, I'm looking for ideas on cutting down the rattles and squeaks from my glass T-tops, particularly on the passenger side. Weatherstriping is new, all the latches, etc. are tight.

the only real fix is to trade me for my C4 vette !

Good to see another 82CE alive and well..
My T-Tops are tight to the point where i can shake the car if i pull on them, are yours ? If that is the case, sometimes on older ones (Mine had been replaced twice, thieves :mad ), the rod that gets pushed into the back get's loose. I have a plastic ring around the back hole, where the rod moves into to secure it. Let me know how it goes, maybe i can supply a pic how mine look..
Later... Stefan

Thanks for the advice. I'll check to see how tight they are, but I can move the whole car by pushing on them......didn't feel any "give" in the tops themselves, as I recall.

No thanks on the trade! I'll keep the CE for now.

have you tried putting the weather strip condioner on it I think it's silicon.

I haven't used weatherstrip conditioner yet, since it's all new, but I'll try it anyway. I've also used talcum powder beneath squeaky plastic pieces before to quieten them down. Don't know if that would work here.
